Glaser Reveals Cut Golden Globes Jokes About ICE and Trump
Nikki Glaser told The Howard Stern Show that she cut several jokes from her Golden Globes monologue, including material about ICE and Donald Trump. She said she avoided politics because it’s hard to strike the right tone, and noted Steve Martin advised her not to use political bits. Glaser did have a couple topical lines that Stern praised (such as a jab at CBS News), while other punchlines—like jokes about names and brands (Chase Infiniti and others)—were left on the cutting room floor. A joke about renaming the Globes venue the Trump Beverly Hilton was also scrapped.
