"Google Home App Expands with Custom Camera Clips and Garage Door Detection"
The Google Home Public Preview program is introducing the ability to create custom video clips and AI-powered garage door detection. Users with Nest Aware Plus can download custom length clips from their video history and trim existing event video clips. The feature is rolling out this week to those on the Preview Program. Additionally, Google Home will soon offer event and timeline history, as well as the ability to download clips on the web. Furthermore, Google can now send reminders and notifications if your garage door has been left open for more than five minutes, utilizing advanced AI-powered image detection. Garage door detection is supported up to 24 feet away and is available for Nest Cam (indoor, wired, 2nd gen) or Nest Cam (battery) when wired for power.
