"John Waters: A Cult-Classic Icon Honored and Remembered"
Filmmaker John Waters, known for his cult classics like Pink Flamingos and Crybaby, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony was attended by actors Ricki Lake and Mink Stole, as well as photographer Greg Gorman. Waters paid tribute to his late parents and thanked Warner Bros. and Outfest for their support. The unveiling coincides with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' exhibit on Waters, which runs through August 2024.
