MSC Cruises is expanding its presence in the US market with the launch of its new ship, World America, in 2025. The company is targeting a consumer segment it calls "cultured cruisers," who are interested in international travel, sustainability, and sports. The ship will feature a waterpark, elevated trail course, zipline, and games, as well as a themed playground called the Harbor Lighthouse. MSC Cruises is also introducing its first comedy club on the ship. The company is investing significantly in sales and marketing to build brand awareness and is seeing remarkable demand for cruise vacations despite rising costs due to inflation.
