Sega showcased Sonic Racing: Crossworlds at Summer Game Fest, highlighting its cross-platform multiplayer capabilities and making a playful dig at Nintendo's Mario Kart, emphasizing its wider accessibility across multiple gaming systems. The Steam page for the PC version of FFVII Ever Crisis is now live, although no release window has been mentioned. ARK: Survival Evolved will be replaced by a remastered version named ARK: Survival Ascended on PS5 in August, which will run on Unreal Engine 5 and include content like The Island and Survival of the Fittest. However, there won't be an upgrade path for existing owners, and the new version will cost $39.99. Expansion packs will be sold separately, and cross-platform multiplayer will be available. The pricing model is confusing, and the developer is shutting down the original version of the game, which doesn't sit well with fans.
Studio Wildcard has announced ARK: Survival Ascended, an Unreal Engine 5-based remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, which will launch in August. The ARK: Survival Ascended base game will include “The Island,” “Survival of the Fittest,” and all the “Non-Canon” downloadable content maps. Xbox Series X|S and PC players will only be able to get it via an ultimate-value bundle known as the “ARK Respawned Bundle.” PlayStation 5 users will be able to get their hands on ARK: Survival Ascended as a standalone next-gen game at launch in August 2023.
