Last-Gen Console Users Unable to Host Co-Op Games in Dead Island 2.
Dead Island 2 players on base PS4 and Xbox One systems cannot host online co-op games at launch, but can join them. Players must be on either PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC to host a game. The game will support cross-gen play, meaning PS4 and PS5 players can play together, while Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players can do the same. Dead Island 2 launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 21.
