Police respond to possible armed suspect near Mall of America, causing closure.

Roads near the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota have been closed due to a possible armed suspect. Police are working with crisis negotiators to attempt to negotiate a surrender. The mall is still open, but shoppers are asked to avoid the immediate area on the far side of the north lot. Buses out of the mall's transit station are detoured until later in the day.

RCSD Responds to High Priority Crisis Situation at Northeast Columbia Apartment Complex Involving Barricaded Suspect

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a domestic violence homicide that resulted in a stand-off after a man barricaded himself inside an apartment. A woman was found dead with a gunshot wound outside one of the apartment buildings. The male suspect, who deputies believed was armed, was found with a gunshot wound to the upper part of his body and taken to the hospital by EMS. The suspect and the victim had a romantic relationship.
