ICC reprimands Usman Khawaja for personal black armband statement
Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja has been reprimanded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for wearing a black armband during a Test match against Pakistan. Khawaja had intended to display messages on his shoes in support of Gaza, but ICC regulations prohibit political, religious, or racial messages. As a result, he wore a black armband instead, which breached the ICC's Clothing and Equipment Regulations. Khawaja has vowed to fight the ICC's decision.
