Kidnapper Demanded Ransom from Charlotte Sena's Settlement
The alleged kidnapper of 9-year-old Charlotte Sena reportedly targeted her for ransom in order to obtain a portion of a $2.2 million settlement awarded to her late grandfather. Craig Ross, who was aware of the settlement, demanded a $50,000 ransom due to financial struggles. Ross's ex-girlfriend described him as a "mooch" who lived off others and believed he had been planning the kidnapping for some time. Ross was arrested and charged with kidnapping after leaving a ransom note at Sena's home.
