South Korea mobilizes a national push to back Canada’s CPSP submarine project
South Korea has launched a whole-of-government and industry effort to support Canada’s Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP), signing a national framework to coordinate policy and enable IP/tech transfer, while pursuing a bilateral defence export MoU and expanding military-to-military engagements, including training Canadian crews aboard KSS-III submarines. Hanwha Ocean is a qualified CPSP supplier with bids due in early March, and Canada emphasizes meaningful and sustainable Canadian economic and industrial benefits.
