
Georgia Deputy Killed in Collision with Alabama Officer During Pursuit
Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sheriff Eric Minix was killed after being struck by a patrol car driven by Officer Cornelius Robinson of the Lanett, Alabama Police Department, following a high-speed chase with Decedric Donson, who was driving a stolen 2022 Dodge Challenger. The chase ended when stop sticks were deployed, but as Minix was giving commands to Donson, Robinson's vehicle hit him. Minix later died at the hospital, and Robinson has been placed on administrative leave. Donson faces charges including receiving stolen property and felony attempting to elude.
