"Baseball Highlights: Cover Knocked Off, Mystery Pitch, Scoreless Streak, and Bouncing Back"
Royals backup catcher Freddy Fermin knocked the cover off a foul ball during a game against the D-backs. The D-backs broadcast crew explained that the perfect point of contact had to be at the rounded back edge of Fermin's cupped bat in order for the cover to tear. Fermin didn't realize what had happened until he saw a video replay after the game.
