Russian and Ukrainian Tanks Get Upgrades Amidst Ongoing Conflict

Russia has been producing a variety of do-it-yourself combat vehicles, including the ATS-59G tractor with a 2M-3M naval gun. While it may work as a counter-drone system, it is not suitable as a fire-support vehicle for ground operations due to its lack of armor. The ATS-59G is an unarmored, tracked artillery tractor with a 300-horsepower diesel engine and a cab seating seven. The gun-truck version of the tractor is fitted with a 2M-3M gun mount, which Soviet industry produced in the 1950s, mostly for arming patrol boats.
