Ex-Poker Pro Admits to $25M Sports Betting Fraud Scheme
Professional poker player Cory Zeidman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud for defrauding bettors by falsely claiming to have insider information on sporting events. The scheme, which ran from 2006 to 2020, involved misleading customers into paying for betting advice based on nonpublic injury information and fixed games. Zeidman's organization used fake names and national radio ads to lure victims, ultimately pocketing millions through deceptive practices.
