Nationals' Jake Irvin shines in MLB debut win over Cubs.

The Washington Nationals are recalling right-hander Jake Irvin from Triple-A Rochester to make his MLB debut against the Cubs. Irvin has been in the Nationals organization for four-plus seasons and has been ranked between 10th and 23rd in the organization's top 30 prospects. He has a mid-90s fastball and an above-average to plus curveball, but questions remain about his changeup. The Nationals added Irvin to their 40-man roster last November to keep him out of the Rule 5 draft.
