Fugitive Peoria County Jail Inmate Recaptured
Corey Bragg, a 34-year-old inmate at the Peoria County Jail, has been recaptured after fleeing from police in a stolen truck. Bragg, who was a trustee at the jail, escaped while taking out the trash and was not restrained at the time. The sheriff's office is reviewing procedures and protocols for inmates assigned to work crews. Bragg was being held on various charges, including possession of a stolen motor vehicle and methamphetamine. This is not the first escape from the jail, but it is rare.
