Survival: Former ESPN Sportscaster Ejected from Moving RV onto Southern California Freeway
Former ESPN sportscaster Cordell Patrick survived a crash that ejected him from an RV onto a Southern California freeway, sustaining multiple broken bones and road burns over 60% of his body. Patrick attributes his survival to a higher power and a determined mindset. The accident occurred when the vehicle swerved into the median, and Patrick was thrown from the RV after attempting to grab the wheel when his wife fell asleep at the wheel. He managed to drag himself to safety and is now recovering in the hospital, while his wife also survived the crash.
