Google claims that iOS 26 copies three features from Android, highlighting ongoing competition and feature similarities between the two major mobile operating systems.
Apple's iOS 17 features include Live Voicemail, interactive widgets, offline maps, FaceTime Voicemail, leveling feature in the Camera app, and AirDrop changes. However, many of these features have been available on Android for years. Despite this, the copying of features between the two operating systems is a two-way street and ultimately benefits users.
iOS 17 has copied several features from Android, including StandBy, Live Voicemail, NameDrop, interactive widgets, simplified Home Screen, offline maps, predictive text, and private tabs. While some of these features have been available on Android for years, Apple is finally catching up with its mobile operating system.
