Knueppel seals 123-121 thriller as Hornets topple Mavericks in Dallas
Kon Knueppel scored a career-high 34 and hit two clutch free throws with 4.1 seconds left to lift the Charlotte Hornets to a 123-121 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Dallas, spoiling Cooper Flagg’s 49-point night. Knueppel forced a turnover on Flagg with seven seconds remaining to set up the goes-ahead moments as Charlotte extended its five-game win streak (their longest since Feb. 2023). Brandon Miller added 23 and LaMelo Ball 22 for the Hornets, while Flagg led Dallas with 49 points and Klay Thompson chipped in 16 in the Mavericks’ loss.
