Google's AI-powered search experience now accessible to teenagers
Google is expanding its generative AI search experience, known as SGE, to teenagers aged 13-17 in the United States. The AI-powered search experience introduces a conversational mode where users can ask questions in a conversational manner. Google is also adding a new feature called "About this result" to provide users with more context about the content they see. Additionally, the company is updating the AI model to better detect false or offensive queries and respond with higher-quality, accurate responses. Google has implemented safeguards to prevent inappropriate or harmful content from surfacing and plans to add "About this result" notices to individual links in AI-powered responses.
