Security Scare at Buckingham Palace as Man Arrested for Throwing Suspicious Items
A man was arrested outside Buckingham Palace on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon after throwing suspected shotgun cartridges over the Palace's gates. Police also found a "suspicious bag" in his possession, which was subjected to a controlled detonation. The incident occurred just four days before the coronation of King Charles III, but neither he nor Queen Consort Camilla were present at the Palace at the time. Roads around Buckingham Palace have since reopened.
