Remedy Entertainment Secures Full Control Franchise Rights from 505 Games
Remedy Entertainment has acquired the full rights to the Control franchise from publisher 505 Games for approximately $18.4 million, including the original game, its sequel, the multiplayer spin-off Project Condor, and all future products. All publishing agreements between the two companies are terminated, with 505 Games continuing as the publisher through December 31, 2024. Remedy will pay the purchase price in three cash installments over the next twelve months. This acquisition comes after 505 Games parent company Digital Bros Group laid off 30 percent of its staff.
