The US has expanded its drone ban to include all foreign-made UAVs, effectively halting new consumer drone sales and development in the US, which could slow innovation and increase costs for aerial photography until American companies can fill the gap.
DJI has announced the DJI Mini 4 Pro, the first mini drone with omnidirectional obstacle sensing. The Mini 4 Pro brings upgrades such as binocular vision in every direction, 100fps 4K shooting, and Ocusync 4 video transmission for 20 kilometers of range. It also features a similar main camera and battery life as the larger DJI Air 3, making it a more affordable option with comparable capabilities. However, it still lacks the speed and telephoto camera of the Air. The Mini 4 Pro uses the same batteries as the Mini 3 Pro but requires a new controller due to the upgraded video transmission.
