A deadly crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Loop 202 near McClintock Drive in Tempe, Arizona, involving a dump truck and an SUV. The driver of the SUV died at the scene, and impairment of the dump truck driver may have been a factor in the crash. The area was a planned freeway paving project where multiple construction vehicles were actively working. The roadway is shut down, and traffic is being diverted off the freeway at McClintock Drive.
