Maine Man Receives 15-Year Sentence for Conspiring to Aid Terrorists
Xavier Pelkey, a 20-year-old man from Maine, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for conspiring to provide material support to terrorists. Pelkey, along with two minors, planned a mass shooting at a Shia mosque in Chicago. They were supporters of ISIS and intended to use firearms, ammunition, and explosives in the attack. The FBI discovered explosive devices and ISIS-related materials during a search of Pelkey's residence.
