Sony has officially confirmed that the PlayStation 2 has surpassed 160 million units sold, maintaining its status as the best-selling console of all time. Despite not being produced since 2013, the PS2 has managed to sell an additional 10 million units since 2011. While Nintendo's Switch is a strong contender with 146 million sales, it still trails behind the PS2's impressive record. This milestone coincides with the PlayStation brand's 30th anniversary celebration.
