MSP Airport's Terminal 1 to Undergo $242M Makeover, Largest Since 1962
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and Delta Air Lines have announced a $242 million renovation project for Terminal 1, which will be the largest interior renovation since the terminal's opening in 1962. The project aims to create a unified and modern design for the concourses and approximately 75 Delta gate areas. The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) will invest $182.5 million, with Delta contributing $60 million. The renovation is expected to be completed by late 2025 and will not involve taxpayer funds. Both MAC and Delta remain optimistic about post-pandemic travel demand.
