Chicago CCL-holder Shootout Leads to Stolen Car Crash
A family tracked down their stolen SUV to a South Side parking lot, leading to a shootout between the suspects and the SUV owner, who is a concealed-carry license holder. The violent confrontation resulted in at least three suspects in custody, including a juvenile and a 23-year-old man who was shot twice. The incident unfolded despite police advising against pursuing the stolen vehicle, and ended with a crash at a shopping center in Chatham. Charges are pending as Area Two detectives investigate the incident.
