Yolo County Prosecutors Declare Accused Davis Serial Killer Incompetent for Trial

The Yolo County District Attorney's Office has conceded that Carlos Dominguez, the accused Davis serial killer, is not mentally competent to stand trial. Dominguez, who is charged with two murders and attempted murder, underwent a competency hearing where multiple doctors testified to his symptoms of schizophrenia and lack of competency. The district attorney's office initially disagreed with the findings but now agrees that Dominguez is not presently competent. He will be sent to a state hospital for treatment and restoration of competency before returning to Yolo County for trial.
