Google is testing a more compact homepage for its app on Android, featuring a smaller search bar with a magnifying glass icon and white microphone and Google Lens icons in dark mode. The app also introduces a smaller carousel for Search and Lens suggestions, allowing users to see three suggestions per screen instead of two. Additionally, a subtle blue gradient has been added to make the app feel less stark. These changes are currently being tested on a limited number of devices.
