"Chicago's Next Top Cop: Meet the 3 Finalists"
Larry Snelling, Angel Novalez, and Shon Barnes have been named as the three finalists for the position of Chicago's next police superintendent. The finalists were chosen by the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability, which was established to provide civilian oversight of the police. Larry Snelling is a veteran of the Chicago Police Department and an expert on use of force. Angel Novalez oversees Constitutional Policing and Reform within the department. Shon Barnes is currently the Chief of Police in Madison, Wisconsin. Mayor Brandon Johnson has 30 days to nominate one of the finalists, and the City Council will ultimately vote on the candidate.
