Malibu Creek State Park murderer sentenced to life in prison for killing father camping with daughters.
Anthony Rauda has been sentenced to 119 years to life in prison for fatally shooting a research scientist, Tristan Beaudette, as he slept inside a tent with his two young daughters in Malibu Creek State Park in 2018. Rauda was convicted of second-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder, and five counts of second-degree commercial burglary. He was acquitted of seven other attempted murder charges involving a series of other early-morning shootings in the same area.
