
"Iran Sends Combat Flotilla to International Waters"
Iran's Navy has dispatched a new combat and training flotilla, comprising the Bushehr and Tunb warships, to international waters on a multipronged mission, with the aim of training cadets and preparing them for future responsibilities. The Navy commander highlighted the active presence of Iranian naval forces in the high seas and oceans, citing recent operations such as the seizure of a US oil tanker in the Sea of Oman. Iran's Navy has achieved self-sufficiency in manufacturing vessels and increased its presence in international waters to protect naval routes and provide security for merchant vessels and tankers. Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the contribution of the Navy's presence in remote waters to national security.
