Multiple Fatalities Reported in Rafting Accidents on Colorado and Arkansas Rivers
A private boat carrying three people flipped over on the Arkansas River near Salida, Colorado, resulting in one death. The victim was found unresponsive and entangled in the raft, and despite wearing a life jacket, was unable to be revived by rescuers who performed CPR. This marks the 14th confirmed water-related death in Colorado this year and the third in the Arkansas River in a week.
