Greg Cronin named new head coach of Anaheim Ducks.
The Anaheim Ducks have hired Greg Cronin as their new coach, replacing Dallas Eakins. Cronin, who spent the last five seasons coaching the Colorado Eagles, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, brings 36 years of coaching and player development experience, including 12 years as an NHL assistant coach. He is known for his detail-oriented and defensive coaching style and enjoys working with young players. The Ducks finished with the worst regular-season record in the NHL last season.
