New Orleans High School Senior Chooses Cornell After Receiving Record Number of College Acceptances and Scholarships
Dennis Barnes, a 16-year-old senior from New Orleans, has chosen to attend Cornell University in the fall after receiving over 185 college acceptances and more than $10 million in scholarship offers. Barnes, who has a 4.98 GPA and is graduating two years early, plans to pursue computer science and criminal justice. He credited his family's support for his accomplishment and hopes to meet new people and gain a different perspective of the world during his college experience.
