Lakers Add Castleton, Hood-Schifino, and Lewis to Roster in 2023 NBA Draft.

Colin Castleton, a former Florida Gator, signed a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers after going undrafted in the NBA Draft. Castleton chose the Lakers due to their need for centers and the opportunity to compete for a championship. Former Gator Alex Fudge also signed an "Exhibit 10" deal with the Lakers. Keyontae Johnson was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tyree Appleby is expected to sign with a team soon. The Florida Gators have not had a player selected in the NBA Draft in 9 out of the last 10 years.

Lakers sign undrafted rookies to two-way contracts following 2023 NBA draft.

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly signed Florida center Colin Castleton to a two-way contract as an undrafted free agent. Castleton is a 6’11”, 230-pound big man who played five college seasons, starting at Michigan for two years before finishing at Florida for his last three. He provides a tremendous paint presence on both ends of the floor, although he does not shoot at all. The Lakers also reportedly added Missouri guard D’Moi Hodge to a two-way contract as an undrafted free agent.

Alabama's Noah Clowney a Top Prospect in 2023 NBA Draft

The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly "especially high" on Alabama's Noah Clowney and may even move up to get him at No. 21 in the NBA draft. The team is also considering Arkansas' Nick Smith at No. 22 and Florida's Colin Castleton at No. 51. The Nets are said to be "extremely active" in trade conversations and have the option of using their first-round picks and players to move around in the draft.
