The Quakers scored five runs in the first five innings and held on in the bottom of the ninth behind a clutch defensive play. Penn picked up two NCAA Regional wins in the same season for the first time in program history and is the first Ivy League team to win its first two games at a regional since 1999. They will face the winner of an elimination game between Samford and Southern Miss in the regional final.
