Northern California Stars Chase Davis and Ryan Lasko Drafted to MLB on Day 1
The St. Louis Cardinals drafted Chase Davis from Elk Grove with the No. 21 pick in the first round of the MLB draft, while the Colorado Rockies selected Cole Carrigg from Turlock in the Competitive Balance "B" Round. Davis had an impressive junior season at the University of Arizona, hitting .362 with 21 home runs and 74 RBIs, and Carrigg led the San Diego State Aztecs with a .303 batting average and five triples.
