Discord pulls the plug on AI chatbot Clyde
Discord is shutting down its experimental AI chatbot, Clyde, at the end of the month. The chatbot, which used OpenAI's models to answer questions and engage in conversations with users, was initially intended to be a fundamental part of Discord's chat and communities app. The reason for the sudden shutdown is unclear, but it is possible that Clyde may return as a paid Nitro-only feature in the future. Discord has been exploring various AI features, including AI-generated conversation summaries, to enhance user experiences on its platform.
