Studio CloverWorks has announced a new season of the popular anime series Black Butler, set to premiere in 2024. Directed by Kenjiro Okada and featuring character designs by Yumi Shimizu, the season will be streamed on Crunchyroll. Black Butler follows the story of Ciel Phantomhive, a young boy seeking vengeance with the help of his demon butler, Sebastian, in the dark streets of London.
A new Horimiya anime titled Horimiya -piece- has been announced with a July premiere date. It will adapt popular vignettes from the manga that weren't depicted in the previous show. The returning staff from the 2021 Horimiya anime includes Masashi Ishihama as director, Takao Yoshioka as series composer and script writer, Haruko Iizuka as character designer, and Masaru Yokoyama as music composer. The Square Enix-published Horimiya manga written by HERO and illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara ran from 2011 to 2021 with 16 tankoubon volumes.
