Microsoft announced new products for developers at its Build conference that draw on OpenAI's technology, including Azure cloud tools for customized text summarization, a forthcoming chatbot to help developers work with data, and plugins that work inside of ChatGPT and Microsoft's own products. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella emphasized the importance of third-party developers enriching Microsoft's software properties, such as Microsoft 365, to make it a more obvious hub for an increasingly wide selection of processes and tasks that companies need to carry out. OpenAI's GPT-4 large language model, which powers the chatbot, could see a cost reduction in the future.
