"Google's Gmail AI Security Update Benefits 3 Billion Users"
Google has confirmed the use of AI large language models (LLMs) to enhance security for its 3 billion Gmail users, addressing the rise in sophisticated phishing attacks. These custom LLMs have resulted in a 20% increase in spam blocking, 1,000% more user-reported spam reviews, and a 90% faster response to new spam and phishing attacks in Google Drive. Additionally, Google has introduced an optional AI-security add-on to automatically classify and protect sensitive data in files, addressing a common request from Workspace customers.
