"Trump Judge and Attorney General Receive Suspicious White Powder Letters"
A letter containing white powder was sent to the Manhattan chambers of Judge Arthur Engoron, who presided over Donald Trump's $464 million civil fraud judgment, on the same day Trump's attorneys filed a motion to stay the ruling. The building did not need to be evacuated, and the powder was deemed safe. Separately, a similar letter was sent to the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James, who brought the case against Trump. Trump's lawyers have filed a notice of appeal, seeking to overturn Engoron's verdict, which found that Trump and his company schemed to deceive banks and insurers. If upheld, the ruling will force Trump to pay nearly $464 million in penalties.
