
Airlines Fined for Tarmac Dining and Poor Rostering
IndiGo and Mumbai airport operator MIAL have been fined Rs 1.20 crore and Rs 60 lakh, respectively, for an incident where passengers of a diverted flight were seated on the tarmac and provided refreshments. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation criticized them for their lack of proactive measures in handling the situation. Additionally, Air India and SpiceJet have been penalized Rs 30 lakh each for failing to comply with instructions regarding rostering of pilots during low visibility hours in Delhi.
