"Empowering Black History Education in Florida Churches and Schools"
In response to Florida's education bans on teaching race and other subjects in public schools, nearly 300 churches in Florida have launched Black history lessons for their communities, led by Faith in Florida. The effort aims to counter the restrictions imposed by Governor Ron DeSantis and includes resources such as books, documentaries, and videos on Black history. Churches across the state are uniting to educate their communities and empower them with knowledge about Black history, continuing a long tradition of social justice activism in the Black church.
