Arrest Made in Connection to Murder of Missing Woman Found at Red Sands.
Christopher Paul Maya was arrested for allegedly shooting Michelle Morales-Nakaza multiple times and dumping her body at Red Sands in East El Paso County. According to an affidavit, Maya and Morales were allegedly in a "toxic" relationship and Maya shot her over a missing wallet. Morales was reported missing on March 31 and her body was found on April 10. Residents in the area where her body was found are concerned and wish for more law enforcement patrolling.
