
Former Utah QB leads Pittsburgh Maulers to USFL championship game after overtime win.
The Pittsburgh Maulers defeated the Michigan Panthers 31-27 in overtime in the North Division Championship Game to advance to the USFL Championship Game. The Maulers were 2-6 a month ago and are now one win away from winning the championship. Quarterback Troy Williams was the player of the game, throwing for 201 yards and a touchdown and scoring two crucial two-point conversions in overtime. Kicker Chris Blewitt made a 59-yard field goal to give the Maulers the lead late in the game. The Maulers will play either the Birmingham Stallions or New Orleans Breakers in the championship game.
