Intel Unveils Core Ultra CPUs with Dedicated AI Silicon, Competes with Nvidia and AMD
Intel has released its Core Ultra H and U-series processors, based on the highly anticipated Meteor Lake platform. The Core Ultra H series offers high performance in ultra-portable notebooks, with four SKUs featuring up to 16 CPU cores and Intel's latest integrated Arc Xe graphics. The Core Ultra U series, designed for lower-powered and ultra-thin notebooks, includes four SKUs with 10 CPU cores. The Meteor Lake platform marks a shift towards chiplet-based architecture, allowing for modular design, scalable power management, and flexibility in manufacturing. The processors are optimized for AI inferencing and feature Low Power Island cores and Neural Compute Engines for enhanced power efficiency and generative AI workloads.
