GM recalls over 668k SUVs for car seat safety issue.
General Motors is recalling over 668,000 small SUVs in the US due to concerns about faulty child seat anchors. The recall covers certain 2020 to 2023 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain SUVs. The rear-seat lower anchor bars may have had too much powder coating, making them too thick and preventing a child seat from being installed. No crashes or injuries have been reported, and GM is asking owners to install child seats using the seat belts until the latches are repaired. This comes after GM issued a recall for nearly 1 million of its sports utility vehicles in the US due to defective airbag inflators that may explode during a crash.
